Alec and family,
We still are doing drive-by and at home prayers and praises to God for your continued progress, your persistence and your faith. Plus,we can't wait to see your Tipsy done!

We will have to stop by soon and show you Heather's SLDC Prom Queen picture. There is just no living with her now. She always thought she was "Queen of Everything" ....it just took everyone else a while to catch on. Hee.hee.

Scott will be heading back to High School to be a JUNIOR this fall. What?

see you soon.
In HIS peace,
Linda

This message is for Mother Sally. I don't know how you do it, taking care of Bunk, bar-hopping, working on the Tipsy, and you manage to do updates for us to read. God bless you, you're one in a million! Oh yeah, bless that son of yours. From the sound of it, he's pretty neat too! I don't know any of you, but I have fallen in love with your family, how they all pull together, work hard and make things happen! Of course I pray for all of you, that's a given, no need for you to ask.

Hi Bunkster...Just caught up on your updates. Wow...you're rockin! Your social schedule is tough to keep up with. Uncle Ray & I will not be able to attend today...so disappointed. Gave your mom the update last night. Adam, Josi, & Nico will represent the Smiths! Rachel/Nate/boys have ret. from FR, but Rachel/boys have stopped over in Newport, RI, to visit her family. They return Tues. Kacey/Ray are knee deep in soccer tourneys today/tomorrow. Have a great day. We'll be thinking of you all enjoying fun at the beach.
With much love & prayer as always, Aunt Kath

Hi Bunk! I think you of you often, but was very behind in catching up on your updates. It sounds as though you are doing very well and the Tipsy seems to be coming right along. Great to hear!! As for me, I am currently almost 29 weeks pregnant with twin boys...yikes, are Tim and I going to have our hands full or what? HA!! We are so looking forward to meeting them, but are hoping they "cook" for another 8 weeks or so. I'll keep you updated. Stay well and try to stay cool.

Hi Bunk:

It has been far too long so wanted to see how life is treating you? I hope well my friend.

I thought of you over the weekend. Rhett and I were on a boat along with everyone else in town and "America" came on. It put a huge smile on my face as of course it reminded me of you.

I am coming home in August for a 5 night camping trip with the family and kids in the Sierras. I am coming early so will give you a "heads up" and come over for a longer visit then the last.

Send my love to everyone!!

Hi Alec, wow, what an update i read! thanks for posting all the great information for all the people that love to check in and see how Alec is doing. Alec, it is always awe inspiring to me how positive you stay. it's great to hear that everything is moving along to the point of "almost" completion. it will be amazing when it's all finally done. graduation was a great success this year with 14 graduates this time around. even with the economic craziness, we are still getting referrals, thank goodness. school looks great and we are in the process of building our speech clinic behind the school. we got a great grant to make it happen, so foundation is being poured today and then it will stop until the august break. always something going on at school. we would love to have you for another visit; it really was wonderful to have you on campus last year. keep up the good work and i'll check in again. love as always. your boss!

Hi Bunk~I so enjoyed the latest update! Wow..you're making incredible progress. We hated to miss the Angels' tailgate party--what fun you had! And so many things are falling into place--i.e. the Tipsy! Can't wait to see it. And to think there will be a "working bathroom" outside of the house! (Uncle Earl would be so happy about THAT!) :) Just returned from 5 days at the ranch w/ the gang--fun, but hot. Whenever we go, a heat wave seems to follow. I'm out of the loop w/ your news, so that means a visit soon is a must. Look forward to seeing you on the 11th. Miss you all!

Hi Bunk & Family,
Sorry its been so long since I have checked in, lots of good changes for you that I have been keeping up with. Just returned from 4-days on the Kern River with Scotty, Megan, Richard and boy pal Jim. Kinda cool up there but we had a great trip, fishing was not good, not stocking the river trout were very small and hard to catch due to the fast flow of the river. Going to Loretto next month to due some ponga fishing hoping to catch some DO DO's or whatever. I miss you all. Hope you get moved into your new space soon. All my love and prayers to you all. Over & Out to you Laddy.

Alec,
So great to hear about the standing and the breathing and the triceps!! What great accomplishments. You and your family continue to be in out thoughts and prayers.
We hope to stop by soon. Scott is finishing his finals this week on his sophmore year. Doing great, but wants summer...and has been wanting summer since February! ( ugh...teen boys... I must talk to your mother, she has experience with this!)

Heather won Prom queen. As you can imagine, there is just no living with her now. Our backs ache from the constant bowing to the Queen of Everything....she always knew she was the Queen -- it just took a while for the rest of us to catch on. hee.hee

We are heading to Joni & Friends camp in late July. Perhaps , if you are strong enough and your schedule permits, you can come out to visit.
Also, I heard that Nick Vuyjic (Life without Limbs) might be at the Christian Harvest Crusade at Angels stadium. He is so inspiring and awesome to hear speak. You are familiar with the stadium...same place, less beer....but fun, anyway!

Keep on keeping on!

Hi Bunk:

Just thinking about you and I am sorry that I am not as local on your site as I used to be. Doesn't mean that I'm not thinkng about you because I always am. :)
So, we have your mom on Facebook and now we need to get you on it. It is a great tool for keeping in contact with old friends and new. I think it can work great too to help get the word out. I have your website up on my page as well as the golf pictures. I have already rallied some Portland golfers for next year who saw your pictures and asked me about it. Made me feel really good. They know how important you are to me so they are great guys and can't wait for you to meet them.
Well love, I hope you all are well and doing well.

Miss You,

Kristen

Bunk,

You are such an inspiration. I just read the updates and I admire you so much. I had a rough day today, taking husband to the doctor, plus other medical details. But, when I read what you're going through, and how bravely you handle everything, my "rough day" doesn't seem so rough. I so enjoy reading about the progress of the Tipsy. We've never met, and I drop a line from time to time, but I'm reminded of you each day I go out on the patio. We still have the Coleman chair cushions and rabbit planter I bought at your great rummarge sale at the church, how many years ago now, three? Thank you for making me appreciate what we take for granted. And, love to your great family and parents. There can't be any better parents than yours! You're very blessed, as are they by having you!
I'm sorry about the passing of your friend.

Hi Bunk!

Just thinking of you and wanted to say hi! I wish I could report something exciting, except to say work is good...it seems like so long ago when things were much simpler and I didn't have to take my work stress home with me! (No one warns you about the joys of having your own practice!! )
Anyway, you're never far from my thoughts...I miss chatting with you on sunday mornings (even if I had you in a head lock and you were forced to listen!!)
lots of luv,

Bunkster:
Not boring. Bobby Cecil and the kids and dog have been living with us for almost 2 months. Very interesting. Like living in my own sitcom but no remote. Their house is coming along and looks really great, done in a couple more months. Cecil designed both houses on Kauai and now this remodel. She is so damn talented.

Rosebud is VERY busy with the grandkids. Me, selectively. Two ball games tonight. R made both of them and I caught just one.
T Bone took a nasty hit at the skateboard park a couple of weeks ago. Did a CAT scan and no damage but he was really goofy (goofier)for a couple of days.
Bufy and JT have sold their house and are moving to another in Los Al. I can't keep up with these kids.
Stopped by Scotty's fitness center, Anytime Fitness, today. He is doing really great, He's running this location and the owners are opening another. He is such a great guy.
They had a fire in Leisure World a few months ago and have waved the no renting rule so the displaced fire victims would not have to stay in a hotel. Worked for me, I'm renting my mom's place and will be for some time. Not selling it now till the market turns around. So, this helps with the monthly fees. No losers here.
Ten minutes off the vent? Pretty impressive. Keep up the good work.
Are you going to have an open house when the Tipsy is finished?
Well, enough for now.
Take care....Uncle Phil

The record for most time at BJ's has to go to Andy Valdez, a new Buck for the year. Andy came at 11:30 to keep Linda and Priti company and ended up staying til past 9:00pm. I was going to have a nap after work and head over but Linda said they left Andy there by himself and we had to go back, "Right Now." It was unbelievable the number of people who were there in Brea. A big thanks to Rana for setting it up.

Hi Bunk, Sally, and Red -
As usual, it is so good to read the updates about you, Bunk. I have become addicted to reading the Bunker news. I'm sorry I didn't make it to the Golf Tourny. I'm afraid I totally pooped out after grooming and exercizing two horses that afternoon. Rojo gave me a run-down on how good the whole day was. I like your idea of the plastic glass in your shirt pocket so you can spit out your sunflower seeds. BRILLIANT! I hope to see you soon.

Bunk,
Good times on Tuesday, I think the beer pavilion idea went well, thinking of moving the beer pong back out to a golf hole and putting black jack in its place.

I should be by soon to coordinate a few follow up details and let all the participants and sponsors the final results.

Yo Bunk - St. Patrick's Day at Coyote Hills was beautiful and so were you. I forgot to tell you that Sheila and I went to Joe Jost's on Sunday March 8 and all the St.Pat's T-shirts were sold out. %&@%. Sorry 'bout that but next year we'll get there early and get you one. See you sometime next week.

Bunkster:

I really enjoyed the St. Pat's dinner. But, not as much as Jimmy Killeen and Jimmy Weeks enjoyed the golf. Oh, the good old days.
Everything seemed to go off without a hitch and everyone seemed to have a really, really good time.
You are so lucky to have such an impressive group of supporters and friends, what a vibrant group of people.
I've told the Obama-Jesus joke about 20 times.
I was thinking of the first golf tournament. What a great improvement in the last two years. I know your remember the van with the broken lift. Your folks and you all looked so darn healthy. and everything went off so smoothly. Lots of progress.
See you in the Tipsy.....Uncle Phil

It's your day Mr. Bunk! I hope you are out there enjoying a beer (or two) with all of your friends and family. I wish I could be there to celebrate with you too...but I will be there at the end of next week and I am planning on stopping by for a visit while I am in OC.
Talk to you soon,
Colleen

Dear Cousin Bunk and Family,

Just catching up with all your updates. Sounds like you're doing very well and the Tipsy is progressing along nicely.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Sorry we will not be able to make it the tournament, but we will be with you in spirit! As Grandpa Phil said earlier, we are up to our elbows in baseball right now. Jimmy decided to play again this year, so we're spending five or six days a week at the park. I love watching my boys play, but I'm feeling a little old and tired these days. However, I am very grateful and blessed to be able to attend all of their games. I know a lot parents who can't always make it the games and it's a bummer for the kids and the parents.

Well, I'm off to watch Michael play a lunch-time basketball game. It's a Monroe tradition for the 5th graders to have basketball tournaments during their lunch break. Can't believe Michael, Jake, and T-Bone will all be in Middle School next year. Time sure goes by quickly!

I hope you have a great day and I will miss seeing you and all your friends today. By the way, both boys are wearing their "Uncle Bunk" Irish green bracelets at school today!

Love and prayers!

Lori, Mike, Mimo, and Jimmy

Bunk,
Sorry I will not be able to get to S. Cal today for your tourny. But I will hoist a pint - perhaps with O'Neill - later today. O'Neill lives with a great women named Helene, her tow young daughters and home, and the other two kids who are older and only leave when the rules get tough. Imagine that..O'Neill with rules. Enjoy the great day! Sean

Hi Bunk,

I received the invitation to your golf tournament from a friend and neighbor of mine, Kevin Traut.

Your story is very inspirational and I will pray for your recovery.

I will not be able to attend the golf tournament today but did make a small donation. I hope to meet you in person someday.

Have a great day.

Bunk Daddy,

I wanted to get in pre-tourney and call my shot. Victory will once again be riding home with the Scarlet and Gray. There are a few things that are a given in life. 1. Everyone loves Bunk. 2. The Monarchs roll up the Friars. 3. Carms always wins the Bunk Classic. Any questions?

I love you bro and can't wait to see everyone tomorrow.

Hi Bunk:

2 more days till the big day. You don't even know how bummed I am that I will not be there to run part of the show but I know my position was left in wonderful hands with the Rosary ladies.

My father and sis will be attending the dinner. My mom decided to celebrate the day in style so she hopped on a plane to visit Ireland in person. That crazy Marilyn.

I just spoke to Rhett today and he was landing in Palm Dessert to visit his parents at their new home and he and his father will be there as well on Tuesdayfor some golf and dinner.

I look forward to hearing all the stories on the day and looking at your pictures.

Nice to hear your home is moving forward with furniture selections, etc. I am especially delighted to hear that you will be taking up your talent again and paint. I can't wait to see.

Have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day Bunk and I will miss you all!!

Much Love,

Kristen

Hi Bunk,
Great News, Father Sera was able to get his schedule cleared and will be in attendance for the St Patrick's dinner on Tuesday night and will lead us in the blesssing. He is a long time friend of our family and I know a recent friend to yours and it will be good to have him with us to celebrate.

I have received a few last minute registrations this weekend that should push us into the 130-140 count for golfers and with all the dinner guests and volunteers we will top 200 people at dinner on St Patricks Day. You have such the loyal and faithful following as well as group of people who like to enjoy themselves so I am expecting another great time.

Thanks to all your family and friends especially Leigh Wilkens and Kim Mangini who have done most of the work this year as my travel schedule has not been all that cooperative.

I think we are all set for another successful St Patrick's Day Party

Cheers

Kevin
